TERMS AND CONDITIONS – DREAM TO DANCE COMPETITION

    1. By entering this competition, you accept and agree to the following terms and conditions, which will govern the competition. Furthermore, you verify that you are unaware of any reason legally prohibiting you from entering this competition and, if the competition requires the submission of photographs, artwork or images of people, or of anything else that requires consent or copyright, that you have the necessary consent and authority to do so, if required. Any participant who breaches these rules many be disqualified from the competition.
    1. The Bridge Dream to Dance Competition affiliated with Nicki Ray Productions and Toynbee Dance School.
    1. No participants with previous dance lessons. We are looking for the raw talent in Gqeberha.
    1. Entries to take place on 15 June 2024 from 10h00 at The Bridge upper level. Limited entries available.
    1. To enter the Dream to Dance Competition you need to be between the age of 10 and 18. 

    Age Categories:

  • 10 – 13 Age Group
  • 14 – 16 Age Group17 – 18 Age GroupNote that parental permission is needed for this competition.Each participant can participate in only one age category; one cannot participate in say 10 – 13 age group and 14 – 16 age group. 
    1. The Bridge Dream to Dance Competition takes place from 24 June 2024 – 28 June 2024. Between 12h00 and 15h00 each day.

    Monday – Wednesday (24 – 26 June): will be the auditions for the competition.

    Thursday (27 June): Showcase 

    Friday (28 June): Knockouts / Finals 

    1. Only solo performances in any genre (style) of dance, for a maximum of 2 minutes performance.
    1. Each performer to supply their own music on a USB stick.
    1. Prizes:
    • One lucky winner of each category will stand a chance to win a bursary for a year’s dance classes at one of the affiliated dance schools. 
    • All travel costs is for the winner’s own expense. Any charges that exceed the bursary amount will be for the winners own account.
    1. If any of the winners could not be reached/contacted or prizes not collected by 26 July 2024 by 13:00 they will automatically forfeit their prize.
    1. Nicki Ray Productions and Toynbee Dance School General Terms and Conditions apply at all times.

        

    1. All prizes are neither negotiable nor transferable, and may not be exchanged for cash.  No prize will be given in cash. Should any prize become unavailable for any unforeseen reason, The Bridge at Greenacres reserves the right to replace it with a prize of higher or equal value.  
    1. By entering this competition, you agree that you are a citizen and a permanent resident of South Africa and that you have written consent from your parent or legal guardian. ID document must be presented when collecting the prize. Gqeberha (Port Elizabeth) residents only.
    1. The prize may be subject to additional terms and conditions not mentioned hereunder, but in accordance with relevant South African legislation.
    1. The judge’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into. 
    1. Owners, managing agents, marketing agents, contractors, tenants and staff at The Bridge at Greenacres, and their immediate families may not enter this competition.
    1. If any winner is found to be in breach of the competition’s Terms and Conditions.  The Bridge at Greenacres reserves the right to claim the prize back from the winner and re-draw.
    1. The winners agree to have their photograph and name used in promotional material. 
    1. By entering you agree to receive further correspondence from The Bridge at Greenacres.
